ARPA 2016 Conference Announcement and Call for Papers

This year's Atlantic Region Philosophers' Association Annual Conference will be held on Oct 21st & 22nd at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.

Keynote Address:

Dr. Samantha Brennan, Professor in Women's Studies and Feminist Research and Member of the Rotman Institute of Philosophy, Western University "Ethics and our early years: Making Decisions for children as if childhood really mattered."

Conference theme:

This year's theme is philosophy of childhood. Relevant submissions in areas such as epistemology, moral education, moral psychology, personal identity, and rights theory are encouraged. However, submissions outside the conference theme are welcome.

Submissions and Submission Deadline:

Authors should submit an abstract of no more than 500 words (exclusive of bibliography) to ARPA2016@acadiau.ca by Monday July 25th, 2016. Please submit abstracts in MS Word or pdf format.

Wolfville has fairly limited space for travel accommodations, so potential attendees are encouraged to book accommodations well in advance of the conference. The conference website contains information on local accommodations.
