This report from statistics Canada confirms that the school-to-job transition is more difficult for humanities and social sciences graduates, and that they begin with lower incomes than their peers in engineering and applied sciences. However, over time the wage gap reverses, and humanities and social sciences grads actually experience less unemployment later in life. This is attributed to the long-term value of the skills that humanities and social sciences students develop.
